Students in the Sustainability and Environmental Policy (BA) program gain understanding and practice in communicating environmental challenges and developments to a variety of audiences. Students utilize foundational knowledge in the sciences and ethics to examine the effects of human actions on the environment from multiple perspectives, choosing from courses in economics, political science, environmental law, sustainable development and history/geography. The program emphasizes experiential learning in the classroom and in regional, national and international settings. Sustainability and Environmental Policy (BA) majors learn through research methods and statistics how to understand and conduct environmental sustainability research, which they put to work in the culminating Transdisciplinary Project capstone.
