The Special Education Certificate of Completion is a 12-credit certificate program available to MAT program teacher candidates, qualified students from related fields or for external applicants who have an earned bachelor’s degree and are interested in learning more about the field of special education. The certificate is not a degree or licensure program. Earned credits can be transferred to the MS in SPED program (9 credits for MAT candidates and 12 credits for all other students). Candidates earn the certificate by completing 12 credits of online special education courses as listed under Curriculum. If you are not currently a part of QU, but you are interested in the Special Education Certificate of Completion online program, contact Graduate Admissions.

Dual-degree MAT program candidates interested in the Special Education Certificate of Completion should notify their adviser before senior year.
